The Palmyra-Eagle High School Boys Golf Team capped off an impressive conference season with standout performances and postseason honors in the Trailways South Division. Dylan Riener and Jack Thomas earned 1st Team All-Conference accolades, while Arik Patrick was recognized for his character and sportsmanship as a Trailways South All-Sportsmanship Team selection.
Riener led the Panthers with a strong conference average of 43.875, placing him 3rd overall among Trailways South golfers. Close behind, Thomas posted a 44.25 average, securing 4th place overall. Patrick also turned in a solid season, finishing 9th in the standings with a 48.875 average.
The team showcased their skills once again at the Trailways Conference Tournament held Thursday, May 22nd at Columbus Country Club. This 18-hole event brought together golfers from both the Trailways North and South Divisions. Riener and Thomas each carded an 89, tying for 6th place out of a competitive field of 55 golfers. Patrick recorded a score of 101, landing him in 31st place.
With momentum on their side, the Panther golfers now set their sights on the WIAA Regionals. They’ll tee off at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27th at the House on the Rock Golf Resort in Spring Green. Best of luck to the team as they continue their postseason journey!
